Zettabyte Solutions has announced that they will begin offering a SuperDrive-equipped eMac. The eMac, which Apple release earlier this year, currently offers a CD-RW drive with no upgrade path for either a combo or SuperDrive. The release of the eMac caused a stir among the consumer and education markets alike because of its all-in-one body style and improvements over the original iMac. The new eMac sports a 700MHz G4 processor, built-in 16W amplifier and a high-res 17-inch flat CRT. Zettabyte Solutions is offering SuperDrive-equipped eMacs for $1,499. Upgrading the eMac's CD-RW drive to a SuperDrive (CD-RW/DVD-RW) solves affordability issues, making it the lowest-cost DVD-authoring solution currently available. The SuperDrive-equipped eMac also includes: • 700MHz G4 CPU • 128MB RAM • 40GB ATA HDD • nVidia GeForce2 MX graphics, 32MB DDR • (2) FireWire ports • (5) USB ports • 10/100 Ethernet • Airport ready Additionally, the eMac ships with OS X.1.x, QT 5, iMovie 2, iPhoto, iTunes 2, iDVD 2, Appleworks, Quicken 2002 Deluxe, FAXstf, etc. pre-installed. Zettabyte Solutions is accepting pre-orders for the SuperDrive-equipped eMacs here.
