Apple's iTunes Music Store is hosting a pair of singles recorded by Paul McCartney at the Live 8 show. Proceeds from these singles, as well as the just-concluded show in London's Hyde Park, are earmarked for projects—both practical and political—aimed at alleviating African poverty.

Paul McCartney and U2 rocked the historic Live concert in London's Hyde Park with the classic The Long and Winding Road. Sir Paul returned later in the show with a stirring version of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Get the music and help Make Povery History—proceeds benefit Live 8 and the fight for the future of Africa.

Previously, Apple has hosted benefit singles, including Joss Stone and Melissa Etheridge's Cry Baby / Piece of My Heart recorded at this year's Grammy Awards.

See this CNN story for info on the show itself.
