iFill: Record internet radio to your iPod

Griffin Technology has released a beta of iFill, an application for recording internet radio to an iPod.
With an installed weight of just 2.5MB and a plainly simply user interface that's reminiscent of iTunes, this is an elegant, low-impact solution (consumes 15.4MB RAM running on my 1.33GHz G4) for capturing the gold mine of audio content that is the internet.

That's the good news. The less good news is that iFill will only save to an iPod--There doesn't appear to any option for saving internet radio content to a local hard disc.

Since the arrival of Griffin's Radio Shark, which provides TiVo-like functionality for the recording of terrestrial radio, users have speculated that the company would deliver a solution for Internet radio. This isn't it.

Although it's likely the save-to-iPod limitation can easily be circumvented, the availability of other equally affordable but "uncrippled" apps (RadioRecorder 1.08, RadioLover 1.4v73, etc) makes this an annoyance you needn't deal with.
