Rumor: The eve of the G5 iMac


AppleInsider (AI) reports that the mothership may announce a refreshed iMac product line as early as next Monday. With current mix well past its sell-by and stocks low, that a new consumer desktop is coming would seem obvious.

However, AI does offer a few details:

• Single-processor G5s under 2GHz;
• An all-new enclosure rumored to be a "vertical pizza box;" and
• The mobo will mounted behind the unit's LCD.

Also, both AI and Think Secret have been slowly oozing details of Apple's upcoming display product line refresh.
