Rumor: TiBook EOL in 30 Days - New PowerBook 15"?

O'Grady's Powerpage is reporting that the current 15.2" PowerBook G4 Titanium is scheduled to be end-of-life within 30 days.

According to the article, Apple has already commenced production of a 15.2" AlBook (assuming the same screen as the Ti). The availability of motherboards has been a cause of delays, as well as heat dissipation issues, the story says.

Analysis: This makes sense; we've predicted previously that Apple would look to have good inventories of PB-12s and 17s in the channel before giving the TiBook the aluminium treatment. BlueTooth, Airport Extreme are stone cold lock features. Higher screen resolution? A lot of users would want the higher res offered by some Dell and IBM notebooks. DVD-R across the range? We're guessing a base model will still be Combo. Maybe a 933 or so MHz model to place it a little above Mini-Me.

Me? I'm prepping the folding to go for one of those soon-to-be superseded TiBooks at $500 off.
