In his desire to play Quake, a man has managed to rip the guts from his Apple IIe and installed a...Pentium.

A Pentium II, mind, but an x86 processor nonetheless.

"I designed it in such a way that I could put almost any standard ATX motherboard inside," Craig Noll says in an Inquirer story. "It just happens that I don't have a Pentium 4 or anything in that range."

Analysis: Why, why, why, Delilah? An LC575 mobo or a G3 into a Color Classic - now that makes sense. But this? But you know what they say: "Intel Inside. Idiot..."
