iTunes Match expanding to 100,000 tracks

Eric Slivka for Mac Rumors:

Over the past couple of days, MacRumors has received several reports from users who have been able to upload music libraries of greater than 25,000 tracks to iTunes Match or Apple Music's similar scan-and-match feature

Eddy Cue commented to MacRumors that the new 100,000 track limit is rolling out to customers.

My iTunes Match renewed recently and I was considering dropping it. iCloud Music Library portion of iTunes Match is just so convenient. I can add CD to my main iTunes library and have access to those tracks anywhere and on any device even though I didn't purchase them through iTunes. The key part of that is I don't have to sync to that base computer.

If you're subscribed to iTunes Music, iTunes Match might not be as useful if your primary listening is covered under iTunes Music. That all depends on your music preferences and if you want your entire library accessible at all times.

I don't have anywhere near 25,000 tracks, so this doesn't affect me, so. 100,000 is kind of mind boggling, but there's obviously demand.
