SoftRAID Lite now available for managing El Capitan RAIDs

Earlier in the week, SoftRAID received an update to be fully compatible with El Capitan. As I noted, OS X 10.11 El Capitan's Disk Utility drops support for creating and managing RAIDs. This means while you can still mount a RAID on your 10.11 machine, you can create new RAIDs or repair/rebuild RAIDs using Disk Utility.

Today, SoftRAID released a slimmed down version of their utility called SoftRAID Lite. Essentially Lite brings the same performance and monitoring tools, but only supports RAID 0 and RAID 1. RAID 0 and RAID 1 are the configurations supported in OS X 10.10. The Lite version makes a good solution users looking to just replace lost built-in OS X functionality. The full SoftRAID supports greater choice of options for RAID configurations

SoftRAID Lite is available for $49. The full version of SoftRAID sells for $179. Both versions are available with a 30-day trial.
