A great look at what to expect from Apple's health/fitness efforts

By

Mark Gurman:
As detailed in the images throughout this article, which are complete recreations of screenshots, Healthbook’s user interface is largely inspired by the iPhone’s existing Passbook application. Versions of Healthbook in testing are capable of tracking several different health and fitness data points.

Impressive report here complete with "recreations" to try and sidestep any takedown notices.

The health-fitness category is blooming and it looks like Apple is positioned to make a splash. The app is rumored to support activities behind the basic motion and diary stuff. Blood work, oxygen, and blood sugar levels. Some of this could be diary driven for entry, but it could hint at sensors in an new device. Mark also points out this app could serve as a hub for other apps, similar to Passbook.
