Apple initiates MacBook Bottom Case Replacement program

It's been revealed that last week Apple launched a repair program to cover recent MacBook laptops. The issue involves the rubber on the back of the laptop may separate from the case. The problem Apple says affects MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011. That perhaps suggests Apple has addressed the issue just recently.

The repair can be done with by Apple or the user. Apple says users can take their laptop into an Apple store or authorizes service provider, or order a kit online. The parts and repair are free to qualifying owners. The install sounds pretty straight forward basically involving unscrewing and replacing the rubber bottom.

Apple notes that if your laptop seems fine, there is no need for action. See Apple's program page for more info.
