OWC introduces 16 GB upgrade kit for 2011 MacBook Pro

Wednesday Other World Computing announced compatible 8 GB RAM upgrades for Apple's recently announced MacBook Pro. The upgrade allows Apple's top portable computer to have up to 16 GB of memory.
The company is offering a number of options in various configurations ranging from replacing a single or both factory installed memory modules. The MacBook Pro has two RAM slots and ships with two 2 GB modules.
A single 4 GB upgrade sells for $59.99, which if replacing a 2GB module will offer 6 GB.
Two 4GB module kit sells for $112.99, which is a savings of $113 from Apple's build-to-order option.
A 12GB kit that includes a 4GB and 8 GB sells for $879.99.
And the 16GB kit of two 8GB modules sells for $1599.99
All modules are DDR3 1333MHz chips. OWC also offers a trade-in rebate on OEM memory, which would reduce those prices slightly.
