iPod Touch test unit seen with camera

It appears Apple has a leak in Southeast Asia. Tinhte, the same Vietnamese site that brought us the most recent iPhone 4G prototype and a look at the just released MacBook, now has an iPod Touch. The new model features a 2 megapixel camera.

Engadget speculates it's a 64 GB model and early design verification with the stamp DV-1. The device only functions with diagnostic tests, one of which in the video shows the camera operational.

This isn't the first time a camera has been seen on an iPod Touch, so this could be an old design and may or may not represent what we'll see in the next release. Considering the recently history of what's shown up on Tinhte, it may be current. Either way, odds are we'll see the next iPod Touch, whatever it turns out to be, in September.
