March Madness begins, new iPhone app streams over mobile wireless

63 games stream live over Wi-Fi, 3G or Edge.

Technically the tournament is already underway with the play-in game earlier this week, but the full bracket kicks off today. Even if you're in front of a TV, you'll still miss out on play from simultaneous games. CBS Sports is back again with a streaming app to keep fans tuned in. This year, we have expanded streaming options with mobile wireless. On an iPhone, watchers can view streams over 3G and Edge, in addition to Wi-Fi.

The Premium app is more also expensive this year at $9.99 vs $4.99 last year. A free app is also available that offers scores, on-demand video highlights, and news. Other Premium features include Westood One Radio coverage, game previews/analysis, and alerts for your favorite team, overtimes, and other options. Both apps also deliver cbssports.com tournament brackets and connects with Twitter and Facebook.

The apps require iPhone OS 3.1.2 or later, and an iPhone or iPod Touch. 3G and Edge services obviously are iPhone-only.
