Company Tuesday announced new versions of its MobileNavigator GPS navigation app for the iPhone OS. Additionally, the company announced new promotional pricing for apps and services.  The new MyRegion lowers the cost of entry on the NAVIGON turn-by-turn GPS app for iPhone OS. The new package splits the U.S. up into three regions, East, West, and Central, and sells them for $29.99 each. Users can then purchase additional regions within the app for $14.99 each. NAVIGON is currently running a promotion until April 12th where these packages run $24.99 for the initial region, and then $12.99 for each addition. The full U.S and Canada package is still available for $79.99. “NAVIGON MyRegion gives our customers the power of choice to only access the areas they use, enabling a customized and tailor-made navigation experience at a price built for all budgets,” said Gerhard Mayr, NAVIGON vice-president worldwide mobile phones and new markets. “At the same time we are providing our customers the peace of mind of being able to upgrade to additional regions and cross country navigation later on, independent of additional downloads.” The MyRegion packages offers all features of MobileNavigator 1.4, just within the smaller geographic area. The packs can also be upgraded for live traffic support as a one-time in-app purchase for $24.99. The live traffic service is also in the price promotion, and is currently 19.99 until April 12th.
