Latest iTablet rumors from the trough. Digitimes is now saying Apple’s anticipated tablet will ship in the second half of 2010. Previous rumors have put the device shipping and/or announcement various times between September and January. There still may be an announcement earlier in the year, particularly if the device needs FCC approval for wireless data. It could be the iPhone over again where Apple chooses to announce the device itself rather than let it drip out through regulatory filings. Digitimes also states the device will have a second 9.7-inch OLED version made by LG. Speculation is that this OLED version is the source of the delay, if there was even one. A 10.6-inch LCD version is still unchanged from the rumors at about $800-$1000, and the OLED version is now rumored to come in $1500-$1700. That’s just their guess and prices could be lower with reduced OLED costs by the time it ships. As with all these wild rumors, this info should be for entertainment value only. Please, no wagering. Apple tablet PC reportedly delayed until 2H10, with OLED model now included
