Apple Prepping 10.2.2, 10.2.3 for Release before Xmas

Apple is preparing a 10.2.2 release in the near future - probably early November. According to a report on
Spymac, some select developers already have the 10.2.2 update in their hands.

The company will follow up with another maintenance release, 10.2.3. The story suggests these will be the final two revisions before a major update of Jaguar (perhaps a .5 release).

No iChat fixes are anticipated in 10.2.2, the story states, although these are expected "soon". At this stage, Apple's search tool, Sherlock, is reportedly receiving considerable attention.

Analysis: It will be interesting to see how Jag sales pan out after the initial rush, and whether bug fixes and feature enhancements will induce more people to pony up the readies for X.2. Apple certainly hope so, as Jag will do much to bolster the bottom line this quarter.
