Sirius XM Radio announced Monday the availability of its docking station for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch. The XM SkyDock allows satellite radio subscribers to access their service via their iPhone or iPod Touch. The device is a car dock and uses a free app to access the satellite service. Essentially the dock turns the phone into a satellite radio receiver. "We are excited to launch XM SkyDock at our subscribers' favorite retailers," said Bob Law, Group Vice President and General Manager, After Market Division, SIRIUS XM Radio. The SkyDock includes XM's PowerConnect radio adapter, which can retrofit a vehicles radio to play the satellite radio's audio. It includes an FM transmitter and AUX output. Users may also need to run a cable to position their satellite antenna for good reception. The SkyDock retails for 119.99 from many retailers, which is actually more expensive than many stand-alone radios. XM SkyDock
