BlackBerry Desktop coming Mac OS this fall


RIM announced it's brining its mobile desktop client to the Mac

Due in September, Mac users will be able to sync their BlackBerry devices to their Macs. This release follows BlackBerry Media Sync which was released in December.

BlackBerry Desktop will allow users to sync iTunes playlists, calendars, contacts, notes, and tasks. The utility will add and remove apps, and also update the device when new software is available. Users will also be able to use the software to backup their devices, and finally the software will support multiple handsets.

BlackBerry Desktop will require OS X 10.5.5 or later, and again, it's expected to be released in September. BlackBerry owners interested can signup for news of the release.
