Wednesday afternoon Apple officially released iPhone OS 3.0 for all iPhones and iPod Touch users. The update is available via iTunes for your appropriate hardware.

The upgrade highlights include:

* Expanded availability of landscape keyboard
* MMS Support (pending for ATT customers)
* Global Spotlight search
* Voice memos
* Improved Calendar
* Direct renting and purchasing of movies at the iTunes store
* Updated Stocks app
* Updated Safari
* Internet Teathering (pending for ATT Customers)
* Stereo Bluetooth (except on 2G iPhones)
