In the dark ages before the Mac (BtM), there was the Rubik's Cube (wikipedia)—the quintessential brain teaser and ultimate '80s retro geek kitsch.

Those words really don't begin to convey how utterly frustrating the so-called "puzzle toy" could be was. Personally, I was never able to solve it—not even once, fail.

Well, all of that's history now with the advent of the CubeCheater (App Store via Cult of Mac), a 99¢ iPhone app that can solve "a really mixed-up cube" in 20 turns.

A cheat, hmm? Well, it's not like the MPAA or RIAA or BSA will be suing your dead grandmother if you choose the expedient way out...
