AirPods Pro announced

Apple announced a new line of its popular wireless earbuds with AirPods Pro in-ear phones. AirPods Pro arrives in stores on 10/30 and begins delivery on 10/31.

Unlike the regular AirPods, the AirPods Pro have cushioned earphones for a tight fit in the ear. The fit allows for active noise-cancelation and just generally a better fit than the one-size-fits-some hard plastic AirPods.

Interestingly, AirPods Pro offers a Transparency Mode toggle that lets listeners hear sound from around their environment. Transparency Mode dampens the active noise cancelation while still playing audio.

Apple says the AirPods Pro offers up to 4.5 hours of listening time while using active noise cancellation. This is down slightly from 5 hours without noise canceling on. 5 hours also matches the current run time for the regular AirPods. The AirPods Pro also comes with a wireless charging case. Together, Apple said to expect over 24 hours of listening time.

Other features include sweat and water resistance. The Pros also ship with three ear tip sizes and a software test to help choose the best size tips for you.

Pricing is $249, which is $50 more than the AirPods with wireless charging case.
