Apple updates MacBook Pro laptops to offer an 8-core CPU


Apple has updated its MacBook Pro line of laptops with faster Intel 8th and 9th generation processors. With the refresh, Apple now offers an 8-core CPU. Apple says the new MacBook Pro offers 40 percent faster than the previous fasted portable Mac with a 6-core CPU.

The Core i9 8-core MacBook Pro is only available in the 15-inch configuration and starts at $2,799. The updated 9th generation 6-core Core i7 model starts at $2,399. The 13-inch model got an updated 8th gen Core i5 processor also. That machine starts at $1,799.
