1Password 7 for Mac launches

This week Agile Bits announced an update to its flagship 1Password 7 for macOS. It has an updated visual design, a new 1Password Mini that lives in the menu bar, new space for account details for passwords, and a beefed up Watchtower feature. I really like the Watchtower as it helps manage accounts that may have been compromised in a data breach. The new version matches known compromised passwords against passwords stored in 1Password.

The update is a major upgrade with many new features and is a paid upgrade for existing users. The price is $65 with an introductory $50 promotion. 1Password can also be purchased as a license for $36 a year. The license includes licenses for all the apps in addition to 1 GB of encrypted document storage. I've been purchasing the stand-alone versions, but I think it makes sense to go with the subscription this time around.
