Report: Apple looks to improve cloud services through staff relocation

Bloomberg:

Apple cloud services teams run by executive Eddy Cue, including Siri, Maps, iCloud, Apple Pay, Apple News and parts of iTunes and Apple Music, will move together into the company's existing Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, California, the people said. Currently, most Apple services are developed separately from each other in office parks rented out in other parts of Cupertino and Sunnyvale, California.

Apple's strength continues to be its integrated software, hardware, and services. The services part has been a challenge for Apple over the years. Ideally all three would work together as a cohesive system, but that's difficult at Apple's scale. This move would seem to at least get the various cloud services working better together, which would be a welcome improvement.
